Ambient
A genre of instrumental music that emphasizes tone and atmosphere. It can encourage a sense of calm or contemplation. It is said to evoke an “atmospheric”, “visual”, or “unobtrusive” quality.

Classical music is art music produced or rooted in the traditions of Western culture, including both liturgical (religious) and secular music. It covers the broad span of time from before the 6th century AD to the present day.

Jazz
Originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, with roots in blues and ragtime. Swing and blue notes, complex chords, call and response vocals, polyrhythms and improvisation.

Pure lounge
Easy listening music meant to evoke the feeling of being in a place, usually with a tranquil theme. Its range encompasses beautiful music-influenced instrumentals, modern electronica, with chillout and downtempo influences.

loungemusic.co.uk’s mission is to bring quality, fresh music to its listeners. Our program zones are carefully selected, including shows with lounge, classical, piano, ambient, jazz and cinematic music, either recorded or in live sessions.
Our show producers, DJs and stuff are thrilled to pick the best in indie lounge music around the world for air time in our program. We are independent musicians ourselves, working together with small music labels and collective societies to protect our rights and showcase our repertoire.

One of the new composers in the Jazz scene, Melvis Hawkins, cherry picks the best jazz improvisations from upcoming artists in sixty minutes of pure art.
2pm - 4pm .::. Piano Siesta
Feel the energy and simplicity of the piano, with the personal touch and choices of no other than Kirsten Rasmsey. Concentrate easier and become productive during the most difficult period of the day with the Piano Siesta show.
4pm - 6pm .::. Classical Afternoon Tea
We hope that your afternoon tea is served with those tasteful cookies. There is no better way to enjoy them other than the classical. The two-hour Classical Afternoon Tea show with Yoshi Moon is punctual every day at 4pm.

Coby Macias is a professional botanist and knows his way around gardens. He picks his piano tracks mainly for his flowers, however you are allowed to listen too!.

On a cold, hot, rainy or sunny day, our Candace Ayala will get you through the afternoon with her pure Lounge Selections.
